There are a number of pieces of information about totes (such as day code) that are stored in en_lot_ext (user extension table). These are written to a table en_lot_tmp from the grading program, this package subsequently runs and posts them to en_lot_ext. It is done in two steps because the grading program may assign a hold code, which requires additional processing that isn't practical to do when the grading app runs.
This code has been in place enough years for it to be considered hardened.
