If the "Offline Files" setting has been enabled in Windows 10, you may not see all of the files/folders on a mapped drive, when you reconnect a laptop to the network.
Sync Center is used to manage your Offline Files from your network. The ability to use Offline Files is enabled by default in Windows 10, but can be disabled.
You may follow the steps below to disable the use of offline files.
 1.     Open the Control Panel (All Items view), and click on the Sync Center icon.
2.     In the left pane, click on the Manage offline files link.
3.     Click on the Disable offline files button.
4.     If prompted by UAC (User Account Control), then click on Yes.
5.     Click on OK.
6.     Click on Yes to restart the computer.
